Brent Millar

Brent lives and works in Edinburgh, his paintings, drawings and etchings reveal a true mastery of exuberant line and colour and make him one of the most accomplished artists working in Scotland today. His poetic and colourful works are to be found in numerous public and private collections in Britain and beyond. Brent finds inspiration in nature but his imagination and inventiveness ensure that his works are more than mere transcriptions of appearance. His works have a poetry derived from a contrast of clearly defined imagery and areas of brushed on pure colour; a meeting of figuration and abstraction.

Brent is tutoring Beginning a Painting on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th May.
